Learning how to live after questions, doubts, and changing beliefs is a journey. We at Recovering from Religion are intimately familiar with this path, and we are here to help you to cross that bridge. Our passion is connecting others with support, resources, community, and most of all, hope. We have two forms of support available below: peer support and professional support.
Leaving one’s religion is a huge life transition, requiring a lot of adjustment and adaptation. Often people have intense feelings of confusion, grief, anxiety, and anger along with feelings of relief and liberation. Full recovery from Religious Trauma Syndrome can be difficult if the issues are not clear and you feel alone in the struggle.
At Journey Free we offer individual religious recovery sessions to help you navigate your changes and growth experiences. Recovering from a religious background is facilitated in large part by understanding what you have been through, gaining new information, working through issues, and going through important developmental tasks.
Support, Educate and Empower families with LGBTQ members and the LGBTQ community
Provide private online communities for families with LGBTQ members to connect, ask questions and find resources
Provide comprehensive resources for families with LGBTQ members and the LGBTQ community
